The Connect Costs Center section allows administrators to link functional organizational units, such as specific departments, tracks, or operational sections, directly to dedicated financial accounting cost centers. This mapping ensures that payroll liabilities and employee transactional allocations are routed accurately across active accounting balances based on the institution’s cost distribution framework.
This page serves as a centralized configuration hub to ensure the HR system operates efficiently and aligns with the organization’s policies and operational needs.
To access the Connect Costs Center section, follow these steps:
- From Human Resources page.
- Click System Setting.
- Select General Accounting Connecting Settings.
- Click on the Connect Costs Center tab to open the configuration panel.
There are two ways to fill the input data: manually or from an Excel file.
Adding Data Manually #
To map individual operational units manually, populate the required dropdown fields at the top of the panel:
- Branch: Select the targeted corporate branch or enterprise entity.
- Section: Select the intermediate functional department or operational level.
- Specialization Details: Isolate specific narrow academic or technical skill concentrations.
- Sector: Choose the broad operational sphere.
- Management: Choose the corresponding parent oversight line.
- Specialization: Filter by the general technical concentration track.
- Path: Choose the targeted geographical or organizational pipeline route.
- Administrative Unit: Select the localized school administrative unit or specific operational sub-branch.
- Costs Center: Choose the targeted general ledger cost center destination to receive the operational allocations.
- Click the blue Save button to commit the manual classification link directly to the platform database.
Importing Data from an Excel File #
Instead of entering data manually row by row, you can bulk import your organization’s mass connection metrics:
- Click Download From Excel button to launch the import modal screen.
- Click Download Template to save the standardized spreadsheet file structure onto your local device.
- Fill out the downloaded template sheet with your data.
- Click Choose A File or drag your completed document into the upload boundary box, then click the Upload button.
Data Table View #
Once you save the data or successfully process your Excel file upload, the table grid down at the bottom of the interface instantly populates to show the active information mapping rules. You can review structural lines including master Branch targets, linked operational Sections, and assigned Costs Center destinations.
Grid Operations and Managing Records #
You can manage the existing records within the summary data table using the following control functions:
- Search and Filter Results: Type search text directly into individual column filter inputs at the top of the grid to dynamically isolate matching records.
- Clear Filter: Click the Create Filter / Clear Filter link at the bottom left of the grid view to drop active column queries and reset data parameters back to default.
- Delete Records: Click the checkbox on the left side of any row to select it, then click the red Delete button below the table grid to remove the selected configurations from the system.
- Export to Excel: Click the green Excel icon at the top right of the table panel to download the visible list into an .xlsx file sheet.
- Export to PDF: Click the green PDF icon adjacent to the search input to export a printable document layout containing active configuration rows.
- Show/Hide Columns: Click the green Database/Eye icon to turn table column visibility checkboxes on or off dynamically.
Note: Changes made to system settings may affect multiple HR modules. It is recommended that only authorized administrators modify these settings.
