The Months and Years Settings section allows administrators to initialize, configure, and maintain the operational fiscal and calendar years within the system. This centralized configuration controls the active processing boundaries for recurring HR functions, scheduling, payroll calculation periods, and historical logging boundaries across the entire platform.
This page serves as a centralized configuration hub to ensure the HR system operates efficiently and aligns with the organization’s policies and operational needs.
To access this section, follow these steps:
- From the Human Resources page.
- Click System Setting.
- Select Months and Years Settings under the OTHER SETTINGS column.
Data Table View #
Existing annual period rows populate the master management grid automatically. Administrators can view and track the following key parameters:
- Year: The specific calendar year definition entry.
- Start Date: The designated starting date for that calendar or fiscal cycle.
- End Date: The designated completion date for that specific period block.
- Open Year: Toggle switches indicating whether a year’s cycle is currently unlocked or locked for processing. Only one operational period should remain actively opened at a time.
- Months: Context-driven management pathways providing access to break down or review sub-period month actions.
Important Operational Rule: The system strictly allows the activation of only one year at a time. Once a specific year is activated, the months Year button will dynamically appear within its row under the Months column, enabling you to manage its monthly breakdown.
Configuring Months of a Year #
To view or adjust the broken-down calendar configuration for a particular year, follow these steps:
- Go to the row of the targeted year and click the months Year button located within the Months column.
- A modal window titled with the selected year (e.g., months Year 2026) will appear over the screen.
- Review the structural grid showing the breakdown of the 12 operational months along with their corresponding parameters:
- Months: Represents the numerical sequence order of the specific period (1 through 12).
- Start Date: The calendar launch rule for each processing block.
- End Date: The concluding calendar boundary for the processing period.
- To modify or reset the operational boundaries of these intervals, click the Edit button located at the bottom center of the pop-up modal.
- Click the red X icon in the upper right corner to discard edits or close the period details panel.
Adding and Updating Period Data #
- Add New Year: Click the Add New Year + button at the top left of the panel to establish a brand-new operational year baseline.
- Commit Modifications: Use individual row controls to toggle systemic status parameters or save changes directly to the live environment database.
Grid Operations and Managing Records #
The interface provides standard grid controls at the top right of the data panel to streamline data management:
- Search and Filter Results: Type parameters directly into column inline inputs or utilize the central search bar to isolate targeted timeline records dynamically.
- Export to Excel: Click the green Excel icon to download your full year and month structure settings into an .xlsx spreadsheet.
- Export to PDF: Click the green PDF icon to output a printable document file containing the visible records index.
- Show/Hide Columns: Click the green Database/Eye icon to modify grid layout preferences and column visibility on the fly.
Note: Changes made to system settings may affect multiple HR modules. It is recommended that only authorized administrators modify these settings.
